At league meets, each team should provide at least two officials, if possible. New churches should provide at least one official per team.
Each quiz room should have, at a minimum, a quizmaster and scorekeeper. If the quizmaster and coaches agree, a room may have only a quizmaster, with the official score being kept by the two coaches. Should a room lack sufficient officials, coaches bringing no officials may be required to officiate.
Officials will receive on-the-job training as necessary. Inexperienced officials should read chapters 1-5 of the TBQ Guidelines before coming to a meet. We recommend that teams provide inexperienced officials with opportunities to officiate during team practices to gain experience.
