District Finals
Official competition begins with District Finals. The registration form, which includes team rosters for District Finals, must be submitted to the Kansas District Teen Bible Quiz Coordinator by March 22, 2009, along with the registration fee for District Finals. Churches may consolidate teams or move quizzers between teams for District Finals.
The format for District Finals will be determined after all registrations have been received. At a minimum, District Finals will include two divisions: Gold and Novice/Silver. The total number of teams in all divisions registered for league competition determines the number of teams that can qualify for regional competition. If there are less than 25 total teams, then two Gold and two Novice teams may advance to regional competition. If there are 25-49 teams, then three in each division may advance; if more than 50 teams, then four teams per division may advance.
There is no further competition beyond District Finals for Silver teams.
Top quizzers and teams at District Finals will receive awards. The number of awards presented will be determined by the number of teams competing within each division.
Regional Finals
The Kansas District competes in the South Central region, which also includes the Oklahoma District, North Texas District, South Texas District, West Texas District, and the New Mexico District. Regional competition is normally held the first weekend in May. The Kansas District is scheduled to host the 2009 Regional Finals competition.
Regional finals includes a Gold division and a Novice division. There is no further competition beyond regional finals for Novice teams.
National Finals
The top five Gold teams in each of the eight regions of the United States qualify to advance to National Finals, which is typically held in July each year (The 2009 nationals finals competition will be held July 11-17 in St. Louis, MO).
